Lycamobile 4G

I've just got Lycamobile sim and their 4G seems to max out at 6/7 MB.

The last time, I tried O2 (or Tesco) this was roughtly the max speed of their 3G data and was expecting 15MB at least.

I'm trying to figure out if it's simply that O2s 4G is much slower than EE/3 4G.

    O2 have a priority system for data speed.

    O2 -> Tesco -> MVNOs like Lyca -> Giffgaff

    A Lyca sim will generally be slower than an o2 sim.

    Though o2 is almost always slower than EE, yes,

    Is the signal weak, and is it likely to be a peak time for data on the network?
    I am with Three and have recorded 76 Mb/s on my iPhone SE, yet a weak 4G signal at home is usually only 3 or 4 Mb/s... Which is slower than I get on 3G.

    I wouldn't say the signal is ever weak. It's either 3 or 4 bars and data throughput doesn't seem to get much higher.

    I'm working in a new location and the 3/EE signal is either 1 or 2 bars (at best). I've had to port out of both due to the calls breaking up.

    I'm wondering if O2 is still in the data slow lane even with 4G and their network sharing deal with Vodafone? It's usable but noticeably slower than 3 or EE.
