From the Companies House website:
Name & Registered Office:
THE LITIGATION SERVICES COMPANY LIMITED
2297 COVENTRY ROAD
BIRMINGHAM
B26 3PU
Company No. 02409795
Also interestingly from the same site:
Nature of Business (SIC(03)):
7499 - Non-trading company
and
Last Accounts Made Up To: 31/03/2007 (DORMANT)
So if they are a non-trading, dormant company, they shouldn't be receiving any income!
Edit:
Just seen in post#1 that they are supposed to be a trading name of "Complete Credit Management Limited" (so I'm not sure they are allowed to call themselves 'The Litigation Services Company Limited')
Anyway, this company is trading and is registered at the same address
COMPLETE CREDIT MANAGEMENT LIMITED
2297 COVENTRY ROAD
BIRMINGHAM
B26 3PU
Company No. 04690658
Interestingly, this company used to be called The Litigation Services Company Limited but changed their name to the current one on 21-Jun-2004
... and on the same date the current company called The Litigation Services Company Limited changed it's name from Complete Credit Management Limited.
... all very confusing
(2297 Coventry Road, Birmingham is also the registered office of Severn Trent Water Limited - so these companies may well be connected to them as I don't believe that address is simply a mailing/solicitors/accountants office.)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Kerry.
How is the money being taken?
If it's a Direct Debit (or even a standing order) the bank should cancel that on your instruction.
If it is a continuous debit authority on a bank debit card, then you will need to contact the company directly."Now to trolling as a concept. .... I've also received a letter (marked for the Occupier) requesting payment of £20.03 on behalf of BG Trading Ltd.
Their letter refers to a trading name of Complete Credit Management Limited. If you check on line there is a 'sales' page for the Intelligent Litigation Services Company (a reincarnation?) - the 'sales' number is 0845 602 4424... it may not be so expensive if you are able to get through their switchboard...
However, the best thing is still to call BG will what little information you have from the letter and see what they say. I find curt letters to the Director of Customer Services quite fun...

"the LITIGATION SERVICES Co" as previously stated is part of Severn Trent Water [STW] Group. STW have a Shrewsbury number 01743 265 000. I suspect if you ring this number between 0900 & 1700hrs and ask for "the LITIGATION SERVICES Co" you'll get through. I got to the LITIGATION SERVICES Co by ringing STW head office [0121 722 4000] and getting their litigation department to transfer me. Also ring BG on 0800 072 7571 and complain.
You are most likely to get one of these letters addressed to the "Occupier" if you've moved home and the previous incumbents haven't paid the BG bill. I'd already complained to BG about getting demands for mind boggling estimates of usage by the previous occupants and got a letter of apology. However this didn't prevent "the LITIGATION SERVICES Co" sending a demand to the "Occupier" with a bank giro credit to a Lloyd TSB account at the bottom. Anyway both BG and "the LITIGATION SERVICES Co" have now assured me I won't be pestered anymore.
Hope this helps0
