If they reject you because of the historic debt then an appeal will not be successful as it will be a business decision i.e. you failed to repay before so they don't want to take the risk again - rightly so in my view.
Are HSBC really the bank you want to be with? The 6% regular saver if you have as advanced account is good and the headline rates for lending are good but there are a lot of other options out there.0 -
That was the whole point, OP doesn't know for sure if they're on such a list so a SAR was put forward as a way of finding out, as an alternative to applying (and using up a credit search)....Thrugelmir wrote: »So what's gained by applying for a SAR? The applicant should know this already.0
