Morning all.
The electrical test came back. Just one outside light that needs something but apart from that it's all ok for now! So pleased with that. Hoping to get time to pop along to the estate agents today to have a chat.
NSD yesterday. All shattered from harvest. Extra late night last night as a friendly visitor to one of our fields decided to set fire to it!! Luckily all ok, no one hurt and fire brigade were amazing.
Have a good day all.0 -
Glad no-one was hurt. Hope the harvest didn't go up in smoke or get too wet.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks savingholmes.
So went to 3 estate agents yesterday. None were enthusiastic about the market. Waiting on a desktop valuation from one to be sent through early next week. Then I think I'll get two to do a proper valuation and speak to my tenant at the same time. I'm aware that once I telly tenants he'll start looking for somewhere straight away so I'll want to kick into a quick sale then.
All a bit stressful!0 -
Evening all.
Another NSD chez ZC. This working hard malarky has something to be said for it - no time to spend anything! Not so good for the waistline however. 6am starts and 11pm finishes are leaving little time for healthy eating. I've come to the conclusion I just need to be a little kinder to myself and cut myself some slack over this busy period.
WIll have to spend a fortune tomorrow though. I have a terror of spiders in the house. It's ridiculous. I can deal with rats, mice other bugs etc but I have a genuine terror of spiders. So when DD last night said (whilst all nice a relaxed reading a bedtime story)" Mummy, is that the biggest spider you've ever see" I completely freaked. Well, I tried o stay calm. Went downstairs to put my work boots on because you know, they protect me from spiders. Then armed myself with indorex spray and two books. Tried to get DD to stay downstairs so she didn't see me making even more of a fuss and she comes out with "oh no Mummy, I want to watch so when I'm a grown up I know how to kill a spider"! I did it eventually but need to replace my 3 bottles of emergency Indorex which don't come cheap!
Menu for the week:
Sat - Pitta Pizza
Sun - Fish Pie
Mon - Leftovers
Tues - butternut squash pasta
Wed - Peanut chicken curry
Thurs - 3 bean chilli
Have a great weekend all.0 -
LOL at killing spiders. OH is similarly afflicted by fear of those and wasps. He once put his motorbike helmet on to protect him from wasps and of course his brother never let him live it down. Now it is immortalised forever on here tooAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Morning all.
NSD day on Sunday for me - the joy of being stuck on a tractor!
Saturday was not so good. I overestimated how much ice cream to buy to sell at the church fete and have been left out of pocket. Ice cream for 6 months for pudding! Children loved it - £10 each spending money and the joy on my ds's face when he realised he had 50p left for hook a duck was just glorious.
Hopefully nSD here today. Dd has a summer camp and I'll be looking after ds and trying to get some work done. We go to pick up our caravan from it's service too. We had it New about 2 years ago and have had problem after problem with it. I wrote a letter of complaint to the directors and they haven't even responded. I feel it won't be a comfortable morning!
Have a good day all x0 -

Morning all.
Few NSD in a row here. Still working hard till the rain kicked in yesterday. Then we blew it with a much needed rainy day meal at Beefeater.
Had my desktop valuation back on my house. Have made an appt to go and see my tenant later next week to discuss with him. Have also booked some gardeners to tidy up the forest there for early September. So it's going to be all systems go!! Bit scared!
Going to pick up the caravan today so fingers crossed they've actually sorted it.
Have a good day all.0 -
Hello all. So they haven't sorted the caravan, are absolving all responsibility and blaming the manufacturer. Have emailed a complaint across to them and so far nothing. Not impressed with that at all.
Just £7 spent in Aldi yesterday on frozen veg when I was passing. I find Tesco often runs out of their frozen veg and it's more expensive so made the most of it whilst there.
Discovered this week that when at work and I nick the code of the back of the Daily Mail to add to my Nectar points! Won't earn me a massive amount but I may as well make the most of it.
Trying to sell a bike carrier on Facebook but not having much luck at the moment.
Lasagne from the freezer today as it's pouring with rain so ending up with a much needed day off. Might take the kids to the cinema this afternoon if it carries on raining.
Have a lovely weekend all0 -
Morning all.
Such a stressful day at work yesterday. Working with family has its ups but it also has its downs.
However, I did well. No spending or overeating! Really proud of myself for that.
Tenant has put off our meeting till Friday which is no bad thing.
Have a good day all.0
