why so rude?
Perhaps because its a blatant untruth that you cant afford it, and you expecting someone else to do it for free is a **** cheek?
You actually expect the new tenants to go round to the agents every so often with your mail that you cant be bothered to pay for, plus the agents to act as a holding office for you? I'd say that's rude.0 -
If I moved in, I would write 'return to sender, not known at this address' and post backback in mail box.
Unless you provided labels with new address on, i would do that instead.0 -

After 6 months, everything gets 'return to sender'.
Of course that means RM does it for free.
A loophole I'm amazed hasn't been closed given their now private status.0 -

Hardly a cheek when ive been a tenant for 20 years. The agency is going to keep post for me for a while and is ok with me calling me in to collect, asked today NO problem. Sometimes people do help each other you know. Not everyone is unhelpful and mean in the world.:footie:0 -

why its nothing to do with them?
The agency is helping now anyway as said in other post. Not everyone is unhelpful and mean in the world. They have had a fair amount of money from my rental over the years.:footie:0 -

Which is lovely, an' all - but requires the new tenant to pass the post on to the agent. You're now expecting two people to do something for free to save you a tenner a month at most.
not at all. The house isn't being let its being sold so the agency will be round anyway doing viewings so they can collect.:footie:0 -
I use moving as a way to get rid of companies who have my details but I don't want them to have my details.
There's loads of threads on here with examples of places you wouldn't think about normally. I'll be moving within a few weeks. Here's my list:
Banks (Santander, Halifax, HSBC, M&S, Tesco - I think that's all!)
Car Insurance
Any other insurance
DVLA
Utility Company
Internet Company
Amazon
Online pet shop I use
Other shops (like Topman, Burton, BHS)
Ebay
PayPal
Mobile phone company?
Can't quite think of many more that I would need to tell...0
