Best alternative to windows media center

Having installed windows 10 I, of course, now find myself without Media Centre which I used a lot to record various tv shows for later viewing. I have googled for alternatives and there is quite a lot of info out there but it tends to be American and in the past I have had problems configuring Media Portal to show UK tv programmes in a format that made them easy to record. Can anyone point me in the right direction. A YouTube video would be ideal.

I use NextPVR with windows 10,has full TV guide with record once or series record.

Can also be used with Kodi as an addon if wanted.

I would like to record a episode of tv that starts on quest later this evening


I have kodi installed (on PC and android) and can watch on "film on TV" , but wish to record it

How did you record them using WMC without a card or feed?

I did,nt , however someone suggested using kodi or plex , on a PC and as kodi is a internet based streaming device , used for tv in many countries I wanted to enable this. (recording)


yes I know I can buy a tv card , however that would only be for UK TV


so how do I set kodi to record and save on either a PC or android device?
