Advice on choosing Laser Printer please

They also fit the printer I linked to in my first post.
And not bad, at £8-08 each.
That's less than 1p per sheet.
BTW. I've discovered that Brother are a little premature, about telling you that you are running low on toner.
Mine's been telling me "Toner Low" for weeks, but it's still printing fine. :cool:0 -
Thanks again.
We used to take the cartridges out at work, shake them, put them back in and they carried on for a while longer.0 -
I don't even need to shake it. It just keeps plugging along.
Maybe it's because my printer is on a dead level shelf.0 -
I'm on my second Samsung colour laser printer/scanner/copier and use compatible toner, usually via eBay.
My first Samsung lasted well over 10 years and still worked OK when I got rid but was starting to show some minor streaking.
My current one, a C460W, is just getting it's first set of new toners. I only ordered them yesterday, a pack of four for £40.50 although I shan't put them in the printer until the current ones actually run out, the replace toner indicator has come on for the three colours but not the larger black and as Bedsit says they are premature as it is still printing perfectly.
I bought my daughter a Samsung Mono laser over 10 years ago now when she was starting her A levels. It went through them and Uni and is still working today.
Not bad for something that cost £49 in the sale. Replacing the toner meant pouring it from a bottle into the hole cut in the original starter cartridge and resetting the page counter by shorting two pins out inside. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0
