EA1 isn't selling it anymore. Why would a buyer even know about an issue with the sellers agents fees, it's nothing to do with the buyer. Surely the seller won't expect to effectively charge their buyer, it's the sellers problem surely?

To illustrate the problem with an example (assuming EA commission of 1.5%)

OP offered through EA1, and now offers £250k through EA2. So seller has to pay commission of £7.5k. So seller ends up with £242.5k

Another buyer offers £248k through EA2. So seller has to pay commission of £3.72k. So seller ends up with £244.28k

So... the seller rejects OP's offer of £250k and takes other buyer's offer of £248k instead.

(But - if OP offers £250k through EA1, the seller gets £246.25k - so it becomes the better offer.)

Perhaps OP should ask the vendor which EA to use, and a perfect excuse/reason to knock on their door. It does seem strange the vendor has switched agents so soon, I wonder if the vendor has fallen out with EA1 and wants nothing more to do with them.
