Love that you didn't know what a whatcamcallit is, I'd've been the same. Cars are just things which get in my way when I'm out bicycling or walking.
Re fancy cars, sometimes the drivers of some of the more expensive marques accuse us of issuing parking tickets to them unfairly, effectively targetting them because they have expensive motors.
The actual truth is that they tend to park as badly as they drive. Especially A u d i drivers, for some reason..........:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I'm not certain there's a correlation, but whenever the local grammar has an event on, the roads all around are packed with appallingly parked &, I'm told, expensive cars.
Could it be these folks spend money on cars & having the children educated but omit driving lessons themselves?0 -

Could it be these folks spend money on cars & having the children educated but omit driving lessons themselves?Presumably they have driving licenses so at least know what they should be doing, even if they're too rude and entitled to do it properly!
Said a disgruntled person who has just come in from the allotments via pushbike and was cut up by a Merc driver running a red light!
I suspect BB is being vulgar but I am such an innocent that I cannot be 100% sure of it......... :rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

The 'Yummy Mummy' driving here in Reading is something to behold...
Some time ago gf & I were on our way to lunch, and the satnav took us past the local primary school. The road was already narrowed due to parked cars on my right. Didn't bother the Yummy Mummies though. Three Range Rovers on the wrong side of the road pulled up to me in turn, and forced me onto the pavement.
(If I hadn't been trying to make a good impression on gf, I might have stood my ground.)0 -

I was expecting thunder and lightning today, but I got away with a downpour that lasted about ten minutes... hope all's well for everyone on here.
I'm working on including a few prepping bits on my cruise holiday (extreme embarrassment at taking a cruise holiday, seems such an outlandish thing to do) windup radio, torch, matches, seatbelt cutter, whistle, 1" penknife, spare battery for the torch, water purification tabs, high calorie snack food, apart from normal first aid kit of aspirin etc, thats about it.
As a result of the holiday, I'm thinking continually of a 3book series of zombie books on kindle, The Sovereign Spirit Saga2023: the year I get to buy a car0
