It's been a very pleasant 70f here today.0

I so want a DPM smock! Not to mention 70F, it was lovely here yesterday, right up past sundown (I was on the lotties, as were many others) but it started to rain overnight and hasn't really stopped yet.
Ne'mind, more broad beans are in and I'm eyeing up the next part of Plot2 for tackling. I seriously want to achieve independance in veggies, apart from exotics which require greenhouses to flourish.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

A lot of rain here today too.0

No rain up here but very cold, and a fair bit of snow still lying behind dykes and in sheltered bits. Too cold to enjoy the garden. My preps today consisted of me reading my 1920s cookbook and doing a (smirk) menu plan. It's very neat and nutrionally sound, and stuck to the tiles with sellotape.
And will probly be totally ignored from day 1.0 -

I don't want to rain on your parade but "neat and nutritionally sound" does not make the heart sing.
I have home made chicken chilli for tonight and am just about to make some porridge for breakfast and go to York this afternoon to U3A to see early movies (1920's and early 30's).0 -
I'm not into food at all Elona. Always been a picky eater, totally lost my appetite when I got diagnosed and just can't get it back. I just eat to keep the heartburn at bay - but at least I haven't put on weight0

I sometimes wish I were a picky eater as it would make losing weight easier. It must make it difficult to enjoy the shopping, planning and cooking when you don't look forward to enjoying the end result.0 -
I like proper food - old-fashioned stuff like roast lamb and 2 veg or roast chicken. But I nibble round the edges and end up giving most of it to the RV. If I didn't have him, I'd live on cornflakes and crisps - but he won't let me0

I've had them for an evening meal before now. And, if glued together with melted chocolate, they form a complete meal which is perfect in every way!
oh, is that just me, then?:oEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
