  • I'm currently stuck in the living room, as the central heating won't keep the bedroom warm enough to be comfortable for me, in my current condition.

I'm sat in the living room, wrapped in a Duvet.

Probably have to sleep in here too.

Bob I've had 4 hosp visits in the past 18 months and only got on with my bag this morning. Even the best preppers (which I am not by any means) neglect the hospital bag I reckon. Sounds awful. I'm really sorry and I hope you have as warm and restful night as you can muster. Check back with us over the weekend if you can. We can be your mother hen. ;)

Kittie thank goodness your ok. Don't be worrying about me. I've been to docs. Lungs perfectly clear but the chest pain in heart related and I'm starting on beta blockers this evening. I'm ok in myself though.
  • My arms look like a dartboard. :(
  • Tonight I'll be sleeping on two settee cushions, on the living room floor, wrapped in a high TOG duvet, with the central heating running full blast, backed up with a 2kw convector heater.

I was taken into hospital with a half-charged phone, no change at all bar a £10 note, shoeless and with the wrong specs on. I have a hospital bag all packed ready but wasn't in any fit state to take it lol.

Will do. I'm keeping the computer running 24/7.

Just hoping we don't get any power cuts (reports of gas running out are very worrying), or loss of internet service.

From now on, I'm keeping my phone and a charger, in my coat pocket at all time.

Nowadays, without your mobile with you, it's like you've fallen off the edge of the world.

D'you know, it would make great sense for me to make up a hospital bag for Mum; I always end up scrabbling around for her stuff, then running off up the road after the ambulance (the hospital being about half a mile away from her flat) & it'd be much easier just to be able to grab a bag & go with her. I'd still need to check that I'd got her current medication, though, as it changes with the wind...

Take great care of yourself, Bob! Something like that really takes it out of you. Glad you are ok, kittie.
