Scots tend to use "magic" a lot, meaning brilliant. It muddles Americans though and they all message me back asking if I'm Wiccan and into magick.. erm naw. lol
Isn't funny how Fate always sorts things out and even the greatest always fall eventually? Thinking of Ma Merkel here. The one thing that was always guaranteed to stop her was Germany itself being overrun.

Thriftwizard - our son is part of one of these packs! They move in formation round our parks and places of interest around the town.
Hopefully, other things of interest will go into their brains subliminally as they go about shrieking "Got one!" at each other.

    At least they're outdoors :D

Interesting stuff about Vitamin D and depression, seeing an obvious link with SAD here. MrD has a light box from November onwards to the end of March to combat his low winter mood.
I may prep a supply of cod liver oil capsules or, even better, cod liver oil and malt (butterscotch flavour). Not had that for years :)

MrD has a strange accent, parents from just outside Rochdale but brought up from a very young age in Aberdeen. Soft rolling R's and then random broad vowels, love it.:)

I do not understand why harming people is thought to bring a person nearer to their particular God.
I also fail to understand random acts of violence taking place in our country.
The news brings fresh sorrow every day. One of my daughters has stopped watching at six as she doesn't think the content is suitable for young children and I agree.

Still, we went for a picnic and had a lovely day wouldn't sell papers would it?:(

Daz - hope your sister doesn't have to leave her home x

Stay in? The world has definitely tipped downwards these last couple of years, wonder if this was how it felt in the mid 30s.

Some dictionary definitions are rather derogatory, but the gentlest ones simply describe a cheapskate as someone unwilling to spend money - that's me to a T! :rotfl:

I can see quite a lot of similarities to the 1930's and that concerns me more than any thing
