Stocked up on toothbrushes and toothpaste today. Dental hygiene is also an important prepping tool. They were 2/3s off so I got a year's worth of both. I had stocked up on floss in Jan. And probably have two years worth of that.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Morning all.
Hope everyone is well.
Prepping at the mo consists of sorting out where my career path is heading. My current position of maternity cover/one-to-one support ends today as the child I've been supporting goes to another school next term. I'm sure there will be tears before the end of the day (from me most likely) but it's given me a taste of what I want to be doing so I'm applying for a qualification so I can apply for a classroom/teaching assistant place in my own right. It will mean I have to work as a volunteer for 15 hours a week while training but I'm hoping that a paying job will be at the end of it once I'm qualified.thankfully we never counted the extra money I was earning for the last year into the budget so while it will take a little time to adjust to working for nothing we haven't actually become reliant on it. It is our bathroom refit fund which thankfully is where it needs to be to get the work done.
Need to check the school garden while there today to see what can be harvested before we finish for the summer and leave a note for the caretaker to check and take what becomes available during the hols so it's not wasted.
Have a good day all.SPC~12 ot 124

Okays - you got me intrigued Mrs Moneypenny - what is "wooligan" (as per your signature)??:)0
-
The was a really popular thread in here called knit a square where we all knitted for various good causes or charities. Wooligan was the name someone on the thread coined for us as a group I think it's was derived from knitting and hooligan because of a yarnbombing project we supported.sadly most of the other members of the thread moved on to Facebook but because I don't have Facebook I stayed here. I still knit for good causes a keep a track of what I do each year in my sig.
Because it got so expensive to post things through the mail I tend to support local causes where I can. The prem baby stuff goes to the local maternity hospital, the beads of courage bags are for the local children's oncology ward (the children get special bags each time they complete a treatment or a session of chemo) the bags are to keep their bead collections in. The hedgehogs are going to an animal sanctuary where we holiday, there is a lovely lady on mse who I'll see while I'm away and pass them on to. It clears my wool and fabric stashes gives me something worthwhile to do and helps others out. I wouldn't and couldn't keep everything I craft so I get pleasure from doing it and passing it on. I would sooner give to a good cause than sell things
So that is what a wooligan is HTHSPC~12 ot 124

Mrs Moneypenny - if your Headmaster is encouraging you, you've proved your worth and you'll probably get the next job available when you've qualified
Went to see AbFab last night, very funny and some very subtle and not so subtle pokes at the fashion industry/media hype in it.
Foot clinic this morning and plasterer in this room this pm so will have to love you and leave you today.
Always something, I have a stash of toothpaste and mouthwash but no spare toothbrushes. I will rectify that today!
Daz - you need some fun and a couple of pints with karaoke, sounds good
Mar - do you think they''ll have to open some of our coal pits up again? Not dim.....just living in soft focus

Doveling, Tosspots basics toothbrushes are under 20p for a twin pack. I have several of them in the stash, as well as plenty of toothpaste. Must restock on the dental floss, thanks to all for the dental reminders.
I'm using the crystal deodorant since January and it's still going strong. I would have been starting my third conventional roll-on in that time period, if I hadn't switched over.
I'm a low-maintenance type person and soap, deo, toothpaste and floss and shampoo, along with vaseline lip balm and a hand cream cover all my modest needs. Oh, and the little pot of sudocreme, which is a universal panacea for skin woes. Highly recommended.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Mouth and gum preps, I have a plastic shoebox full: toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, interdens brushes (the cheap version
) and a few toolkits off ebay, as well as some temporary filler and some clove oil. I think its crucial to have those sorts of prep - seems to me the NHS has been very nearly dismantled in relation to dentistry, and my own NHS dentist is certainly trying to do that: I wanted to get a hygienist appointment before a recent wedding, and the receptionist told me that on the NHS its £53.40 but private would be £50. Definite price manipulation going on there.

The great thing about toothbrushes is that ones you've finished with are great for fiddly cleaning jobs, such as around taps, and in the corners of the washing machine dispenser drawer where mould tends to collect if it's not cleaned regularly0

regarding crystal deoderant.. I bought one a few years back and read that (assuming this is the alum crystal block type deoderants) they are used widely in asia where they will buy a block or lump and then add it to water.. Anyway I bit the bullet and dissolved my entire 'block' in a squirty bottle of water and it is still going strong.
Considering how expensive they are to begin with, it is vastly cheaper used that way. It would be useful to have some sitting in your prepping stash to use that way as it is so long lived once diluted.0
