Oh dear mar, that's not good :(

Bob She'll come round in the end! Our last cat was the only one we ever needed to put in a cattery, and he used to sulk when he got home too :D
  • Sounds like time to get in some of whatever constitutes Special Treat in Buggalugs' eyes - and then you might get forgiven:rotfl:.

Don't think she would listen to any comments from you about "How come it's okay for you to go off on the razzle for some days - but you don't like it when I do?":rotfl:

Our cat used to sulk when he got home from the cattery too. On the other hand if we left him in the house and got a neighbour to come him and feed him he'd disappear for days which was quite stressful for the neighbour.

You just can't win with cats.

I tried that (she loves Dreamies), but she totally ignored them.

    That is one sulking cat.

Buggalugs will disappear for days (I think ~ a week is her record), but I don't worry.

She comes back when she's good and ready.

Much googling later - and I can't find any images of Scandinavian style kitchens with gas hobs. Maybe that's just me - I've not come across them.

Veers more towards electric hobs then....as mine is going to be Scandinavian in style (to match what I've done with the rest of the inside of my house......).

There are some Scandi-style kitchens on Pinterest with gas hobs/cookers. It all depends what you mean by Scandinavian style as it covers quite a wide band. Although I like the look of induction hobs and having the worktop all level with it, I prefer gas hobs and would never choose style over function.

I have gas central heating and hob/electric oven and one electric fire, and nowhere to fit a gas fire or multi-fuel burner. When I moved I kept my greenhouse calor-gas heater in case of power cuts. This can also be used indoors (although care must be taken obviously) so we won't freeze in case of power cuts. I also have one of those reading lights which clip onto the book. It was a "joke" gift one Xmas after I complained about the number of power cuts but is actually very useful and gives off quite a lot of light. I must get some solar lamps too though.

Did your book light come free with a Snuggie, Dreaming? This parody tickles me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h05ZQ7WHw8Y

Ha-ha. Reminds me of when my exOH and I used to laugh at the Sunday newspaper ads for things like "a giant foot muff". Several years on, some of those items look strangely attractive. But no, I haven't got a Snuggie, but the light is surprisingly similar. Perhaps someone else got the Snuggie.:rotfl:
  • You wait until you find you've started to be on the receiving end of those little catalogues featuring gadgets aimed at the over-50s market.

By the time you've read half way through one of them - you lose the will to live anyway at the obvious assumption that your body is going to crack up on you bit by bit:eek:.

Now I've just got to convince my knees that they aren't supposed to remind me they exist sometimes when I climb the stairs - even if I were in my 80s (and most certainly not in my early 60s!).. .....and then there's the worrying thought that a Christmas card received from a friend today commented on how his father is still alive - at 100 years old. Poor man....
