Morning all. Totally different to yesterday we have some sun
so washing is already out, giving to change some beds in a minute too.
Not much happening here today given its our first weekend day without plans for about 2 monthswe'll hopefully get out in the garden later for a bit of a tidy up
Need to get something out of the freezer for tea. Thinking left over roast pork for a roast dinner. Rest of meals from stores
Will check the usual sites for potential winnings.
Hopefully you've got sunshine too, enjoy your Sunday's.0 -

Ally - Hope you manage to get DW's eye sorted
Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.
Yesterday didn't go as planned, boys were awake all night and 2 were a complete nightmare  DS has said they're not coming again cos he was really fed up. Rained lots so they didn't get to carnival but went to an indoor crazy golf as I got some BOGOF vouchers. DH tried to look at a door issue but hasn't resolved the problem :rotfl: and I spent the day ironing. Today:

It rains all the time here. I usually soap the car and then leave the rain to wash it off! :rotfl:
Now that is an MSE idea! :rotfl:
Today I am mostly doing all the things I didn't do yesterday, I had a serious case of the lazies & spent most of the day scouring the sales for baby bits! That's made the savings go down a bit but got some good deals.-

Ally - Hope you manage to get DW's eye sorted
Thanks. Apparently her eyes look a lot worse than they actually are but still not responding to treatment.
Just sitting waiting at the clinic. We need a General Practitioner doctor to sign a prescription for a drug that the Optometrist isn't allowed to prescribe. And the General Practioner isn't qualified to make the diagnosis so...you have to see the Optometrist for the diagnosis and the recommendation for what drug is needed and then the Doctor for the prescription. And then find a pharmacy that's open on a Sunday for the drugs. Frustrating system and lots of journeys.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
LOL, I don't play the lottery. DW does occasionally and has won the odd tenner.

Ziggy sorry to hear about the nightmare sleep over. Whoever invented sleep overs needs a fist to the face.
Perni Glad your baby bargain hunting went well.
Yorkshire I dread the stage you are currently at with your boys. It must be so worrying all the things you know can happen. And trying to parent without scaring them is a challenge I bet. I had a very different thing today where DS wanted to go down a little short cut on his own and meet me and his sister at the other end. I said no and we had a stand off. He is 8 in November and desperate to be allowed to make his own decisions but I couldnt take the risk of letting him out of sight like that. Trouble is he doesnt know about the dangers which makes him bold. So you have my sympathies entirely.
We have just got home and Ive done us lunch from the BBQ leftovers. 2nd load on..whilst DD sleeps I am going to keep going with the ebay listing. OH watching the tennis.
Back later

LOL.
Thanks. She's taken the new medication an hour ago and already we can see an improvement, at last, after three weeks of her eyeballs glowing red like a tree frog. (Link) We didn't have to pay for today's medication, which is something, but we did have to travel 40 miles in total to go to the optician and the emergency clinic.

Glad you got things sorted in the end Ally. And Bob the whole thing about letting go is so hard. Mine are 15 and 17 and I know that if you try and reign them in too much they will rebel and go and do what they want anyway so you have to try and strike a balance. I had no idea this would be so hard though.
Time for sleep. Night all. X0 -
If you do still enjoy a drink, put on some homebrew. If you are making alcoholic ginger beer, wine, lemonade etc you will produce delicious drinks and save a fortune on the supermarket bill.0
