Hilstep
Sending a huge but gentle hug and hope the pain lessens soon.
I have had a productive morning and managed to get the cheapest tariff for gas and electricity which will run till 2018 and also a cheap offer to cover boiler servicing and feel quite efficient.
The back garden is a sea of mud but builders have nearly finished demolishing the huge fish pond along with a tatty shed used by previous owner as a bird shed. Next week they plan to level off the area and lay flags etc to make it nice and safe.
There are still a lot of little things to be done in the house but things are coming together and I am managing to sort out more boxes etc.
It keeps raining so may need to put bedding on a clothes horse indoors to try to get it dry. Not sure if a dd is coming over tonight but have some home made cottage pie left and some marinaded
chicken which could be added to stir fry.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

I did a post earlier but it seems to have gone into the ether.
Windy day, we managed to get to Aldi and do the shopping, found when I got home they had charged me twice for coffee, phoned, I have to take the receipt in and get a refund.
Alternator cost £200 all but 2p.......good job I have saved for repairs etc, also had the insurance renewal come through. £235. Have been on the net, got it down to £194 plus £30 cash back. Will put it through later this week. I have just enough in the account to cover both payments.
Sun keeps coming and going. Have just managed to do the ironing from the weekend, come through for afternoon tea. Going back through to do some more sewing, have started on bits for the group to do for Christmas.
No gardening today...... rest day apart from picking strawberries and raspberries.0 -
Have arrived safely in Glasgow, the drive was mostly OK with only a couple of cars / drivers going very very slowly and scared of bends. I collected my orders from M&S on the way and dropped off a bag of rubbish at the tip. That's my day
Sorry to hear of your fall Hilstep, hope you get some rest and enjoy being looked after.0 -

I have to make 5 dozen sausage rolls for Sunday as its my son-in-laws 50th birthday and we are having a bit of a family party, so I have to fit that in as well at some point
Only 5 more weeks to go until our holiday and I am really looking forward to that.

Where are you going on IOW this year, we loved it, came back in Minday after a week at Adgestone, walking distance to Sandown, and went all over. It's not really changed since our last visit in 1989, and that's a good thingCarolbee0 -
