My sons iphone 6 has taken a dip in the loo and is at the moment sitting in a bowl of rice. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a reasonably priced back up phone that we could can buy outright that takes a micro sim (He is on O2, but it is a rolling contract and we had bought the phone outright a couple of years ago)
thanks in advance for any suggestions

Iphone 5 / 5s can be had cheaply second hand or Moto G is a popular budget Android choice. You can get sim adapters cheap on ebay or often free from your mobile network's high street shop.0

You should probably get the iPhone stripped and dried, rice doesn't work that well on sealed unit phones like an iPhone.====0 -
The iPhone 6 uses a Nano SIM not a micro. Assuming you are wanting to use the existing SIM. If the phone you get needs a micro SIM, adapters are available.0

Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge. Their waterproof! Lol......0

iPhone 5c off ebay - cheap as chips and honestly don't notice much difference between that and my current iPhone SE
I did briefly flirt with android in between iphones but lasted two months, if he's used to an iphone I'd stick with the brand if possible:eek::eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20170 -

The OP asks for this:wantnomoneyworries wrote: »I was wondering if anyone could suggest a reasonably priced back up phone that we could can buy outright
and you come and suggest a phone that costs over £600 with a Lol?
PS
I think you mean "they're" rather than "their".====0 -

Deliberate comment and spelling to see how long it would be before a troll came along to correct me!!!! 7hrs and 10 minutes. longer than I thought!!!!0 -
Deliberate comment and spelling
Good try, I might believe you but thousands wouldn't :rotfl:...
By the way, the only troll is the one making comments suggesting a £640 phone with a "LOL" when the OP is asking for a reasonably priced backup phone.
Exactly how was your post of any use to the OP?====0 -
If hes wanting to have 1 that hes familiar with then the iPhone 5 or 5s or if you or he is wanting just a phone then something like the Moto G.0

Thank you for the suggestions - I didn't realise you could get an iphone 5c for under £100! (I know it's not new). I was at one time going to get the moto G for myself as it looks a good phone. A waterproof one would be nice
but really only want this one as a back up
- does any one know if you can get a waterproof cover?! :rotfl:
