Travel from Japan help please!

Can anyone please, please, please help?
My father is terminally ill with an aggressive form of cancer. My youngest brother went to Japan to work after he graduated last year and wants to come home to spend Christmas with us. He has been looking at flights at his end and although he can find a flight back to the UK, he can't find any back to Japan again.
I have had a look online tonight and the cheapest return flight I could find was nearly £2000
He needs to depart from Fukuoka and get to either Edinburgh or Glasgow (whichever is cheapest!) Departing on or before 20th December and returning around 3rd or 4th January but this can be a little flexible dependent on prices.
Can anyone help please? TIA

Hi Noozan
Have you tried the Japan Centre (it's in Piccadilly)? Here's the Japan to UK flights page
Hope that helps

Hi Tia..
Sorry to hear about your father but honestly if the Dr says your father has a few months to live I would have your brother get here as soon as he can because My mom died of liver cancer...they told her she had less than 3 months to live she died in 1 month. I'm not trying to mean here but he should really come as sooner than later BUT if he can only get away in Dec...

Thank you everyone for your replies; my head must be in a right muddle as I looked (or thought I did) on expedia and that's where I got the silly price flight from.
I'm away to have a look at those now. Thanks again!

Many traditional airlines operate a 'compassionate' fares policy, you have to contact them direct and they need a letter from the doctor or other official document.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
