BT email problems

My email keeps giving me a password error message and my mum - 100 miles away is having problems too with a 'can't find the network' message.

Broadband is fine - is there a site somewhere which lists outages? BT web site has nothing about it.

Despite the BT service status page not showing any issues relating to this, dozens of BT customers have taken to Twitter to ask @BTcare for help with the same issue, with the earliest visible tweets appearing on 21st of June.

Thanks - I eventually spoke to a customer service agent who told me that there was a national outage and it would take 48 hours to resolve. I suspect a 'fob-off' - 48 hours??

Anyway, the service now dips in and out.
