    Thanks theonlywayisup - good thinking.

The delivery instructions are here: htt p://i.imgur.com/D9MjgYJ.p ng

And the cover sheet (just to verify there's nothing more there) is at ht tp://i.imgur.com/H2r8lQ4.pn g

(Again I have redacted the key bits)

    Hi Custardy,

How did you find those? It's very possible that I did send them 9am SD - I just asked them to be delivered as quickly as is possible given the urgency.

Even so - I didn't realise that was a Mailbox Retail Unit and/or that there would be restrictions on the time like that. I assumed that given what this is all about - and what Viagogo do for a business - that they'd be prepared for circumstances like this. Regardless of whether it's their own address or that of an 'agent' surely it is unreasonable to be so restrictive on delivery times when the only reason they're being used it for the urgent delivery of tickets?

I have dealt with ticket resellers in the past from the RM side.
None have been big organisations and issues like this do flag up for delivery.
Its the 9am part of the service thats really caused the issue. RM have to deliver before 9 and these shops are not usually open.
The times I posted are that of the mailbox store.

I think that's right. I think the question is whether I should be expected to know that or - in the absence of Viagogo specifying a timeframe - it's reasonable for a seller to assume that Royal Mail Special Delivery will do the job.

Again, their business is ticket reselling and it's clear from the first moment that this transaction needs urgent delivery. Surely if you are entering into a transaction for which delivery must happen in a tight 4 hour time-frame (9am-1pm), you must make that clear to the sender if you are asking them to organise that delivery? (Whichever courier/delivery service they are using)

I think it's also worth noting that the hours you quote don't agree to those Viagogo are now claiming anyway - the 9am agrees, but they also claim they don't accept delivery after 1pm, which doesn't agree to the 5.30pm you quote. They also say deliveries can't be accepted at weekends, whereas the hours you give suggest a Saturday is fine.

I agree. You have used pretty much the top end delivery service available to you.
For times,I'm assuming the collect their mail in the afternoon,so are calling 1pm their cut off.

I could see you looking at small claims to be honest.

The "quote" is for a Mailbox Retail Unit, which are also open for half day on Saturdays. Obviously not that particular unit!

You need to show that there was no way for you to know that delivery times were restricted and that subsequently they are at fault for the non-delivery of the tickets. This is your only argument, so make it stick by only gathering factual information.
