got mine from comet at around feb time for £180.

Only problem is that no Comet shops here in Northern Ireland and they won't deliver to NI either! Thanks for the price though, might be able to use it for a price match! :)

Another recommendation for th Humax - it's fantastic and archives hours and hours of programs. I've copied programs to my laptop and burned to disk. It's a bit of a hassle, but pretty straightforward via usb cable.

    Cheap price...

    Delivery is £6.

That is a good price! Unfortunately delivery is £18 to NI!

Thanks for the recommendation though! I thought it was possible from reading other forums about making a DVD copy via the computer! :)

you can record 2 channels...........and connect to pc to archive.

Rather than connecting to a PC via USB, can you plug in a USB flash drive, copy across to that, then copy from the flash drive to PC?

And can you download software updates to a USB flash drive, plug into Humax and update from it?

(I suspect the answers are No and No, but would be grateful if somebody could confirm please).

    Thanks

  • Sorry Stompa, no, needs to be a direct connection.

Definitely a twin tuner - I wavered, went for the 9200 and have realised I'd be really annoyed if I could only record one channel at a time. Humax 9200 is brilliant, so easy to use that I never watch TV live any more, with the exception of breakfast news in the morning and live sport. I don't think I'd really use a DVD recorder even if it had one to be honest.

Thanks, that's a great shame. It would have avoided the need to disconnect everything and move it to within cable distance of my PC.
