Refused permission to let while conveyancing

My mortgaged property has been for sale for some time & a buyer has come forward who wishes to rent the property for 6mth whilst going ahead to buy it.
Barclays have refused me permission to let since their letting criteria says I must reoccupy the property at the end of the tenancy, obviously this is not possible as by that time it will be sold to the tenant.
Their only suggestion was for me to convert to a buy to let mortgage but unfortunately I do not meet their criteria which says I must live in a property which I own (I live in my partners property) & also they do not do short term mortgages!!
I have spoken to 5 of their advisers without progress 2 of which said they didn't know what to say to me or what to suggest.
This puts me in a difficult position as I will be in breach of their terms & conditions if I let. I am finding Barclays very inflexible!
So far I have contacted;
Financial services ombudsman; Contact citizens advice or make a formal complaint
Citizens advice; Contact a solicitor
So what are my options, the above, a short term mortgage/ bridging loan with another provider. I need a quick fix for this.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks:)

Continue to market the property.
Why does your potential purchaser require 6 months of renting prior to purchase?0 -
The property will stay on the market until sold.
The minimum letting period of the agency (Reed Rains) is 6 mth. The purchacer just wants to move in straight away as she has already sold her property.0 -
Then why doesn't she buy it and move in? She could be done in weeks rather than paying you rent for months.0
-
As the property is empty and the purchaser has no property to sell. Transaction could be completed very quickly.0

No idea, I know she works abroad & will be paying the whole 6mth rent up front.
I just feel in a catch 22 situation with Barclays & they are just not helping me.0 -

Barclays will have set internal criteria. They are not going to make an exception to accommodate you. It's not their problem to resolve. No idea, I know she works abroad & will be paying the whole 6mth rent up front.
The whole situation sounds very odd to say the least.0 -
Maybe it does sound odd but I just need the cheapest financial solution to get away from Barclays in the short term.

The purchacer just wants to move in straight away as she has already sold her property.
What happens if the property is worth less in 6 months time? what happens if it is worth more?
What happens if, during the "try before you buy" period she finds another property she likes better?
If she is a serious buyer she will need to try to resolve from her end0 -
Whether the property rises or falls in value is immaterial, I just want it sold, if she finds another property then I continue to sell.
I cannot speak for this person, I thought I might get a few useful suggestions here to solve my immediate problem.0 -
Some people would just let it anyway.
Having asked them and been turned down, it does mean you are on their radar, so this is a more risky strategy than generally.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
