So my Moto G which I bought from tesco online 11 months ago or so has for the last 2 months been laggy, battery losing charge, screen playing up and general a PITA, then 2 weeks ago turned it on to discover the screen was just displaying random colours such as pink (they changed a little and slowly)
Was told I would have to send it in for repair/replace or refund, now after endless faffing such as them sending the bag to return it to an address nothing like mine, sending all the proof of purchase they emailed me only to be told it wasn't enough and they needed a proper receipt (which they never sent me in the first place) after finally jumping through all these hoops, I get a text asking to contact them, and they claim they want £84 for the repair now !!!!!!??? apparently its not covered at all and they want more than the phone is probably even worth to repair something that is faulty they sold me (had another moto G and the same happened with the laggy and battery issues after around a year (not the pink screen though) so they seem designed to last around a year
I presume they are trying to say I have damaged it which is BS
Anyway I have said I am not paying it, I want a refund or a replacement as they said and will not budge, already been without phone for 2 weeks now
but basically I would be aware of buying any phones from tesco as their customer service is shocking and they will try and rip you off with made up charges, I need this phone due to various mental health issues and the stress they have caused me faffing me about etc and trying to rip me off has only made them worse
Go elsewhere for a PAYG phone if I were you guys
Any advice would be appreciated too
