Orange SE W850i

Hi everyone,

Need a bit of help with with a SE 850i on Orange.

How do you know if the phone is picking up the 3G network?

The reason I ask is that I thought the phone should show a "G" symbol which my old phone did, yet this one doesn't??

Any ideas?

It's the other way around on the SE phones. A symbol appears if no 3G is available.

You can see the symbol in your user guide.

on my mates k608i the 3g symbol only comes on when 3g is available on 3

its a white square with 3 blue lines in it

I stand corrected. Looking at the manual for the W850i, the symbol is supposed to come on when 3G is available.

I've found out why... Its because i'm using a 2G sim in the phone!! Doh :rolleyes:
