Can anyone recommend a good USB HUB?
There are so many, I don't kno wwhich one to go for.
I need it for the printer, scanner, dongle (though may end up chucking that) and 2 usb flash drives. Would like one spare so a 6 port I guess.
Do they slow things down a lot?
Thanks.

I can recommend a Belkin usb 2, 7 port hub. It cost me £24.99p from PC World which is not the cheapeat place to buy from.

look for one that has it's own mains power supply so it is not drawing it's power from the motherboard and slowing things downEx forum ambassador

Yeah I'd be interested in buying one of these too. I've come across a lot of cheap, poorly built-looking ones, it'd be nice to know of one that's low priced yet reliable..?
thanks!0 -

Though might buy from Amazon, works out cheaper than ebuyer after they add vat and velivery.

I definitely certainly agree with Browntoa, get one with its own power supply.

This one looks ok

I haven't bought one of these, so I can't peronally recommnend the product itself, but I have bought other items from this site and found them to be OK. Ledshoppe have been the subject of other threads in these forums and most peoples' experience of shopping there appears to be good.0 -

I disagree. I've actually got the D-Link DUB-H7 on my desk in front of me and I can say not only am I very pleased that was the hub I got it IS mains powered."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
