I was up until 2am reading through countless threads on draft letters to POPLA but have got myself all in a muddle and am a bit confused about it all now! I'll attempt to look at it all again later. Hopefully I'll get something drafted and would really appreciate one of you awesome pro's having a look at it. Thanks again for all your help with this :)

I'm not surprised you are muddled! You need to take your time to let everything sink in.

Try narrowing your search to 'Smart POPLA' as most recent examples will be virtually just what you need - and in the vast majority of cases, never get to adjudication stage, Smart opting out of letting it go that far.

It would seem from the copy of the Smart rejection letter you have plenty of time not to have to rush this. But do check out the official deadline for the POPLA submission here:

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As previously posted you need to ensure your anonymity here (the ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you)

Following that photobucket link to your page gives out your name (assuming it is your name and not a stage name!):

As "Xxxx Xxxx'x (Xxx7xx) Parking Ticket Album"

You need to change it and pm anyone who has quoted the link (without checking it) and ask them to remove it

Darn it!! Thought I'd done enough! Okay, sound advice thanks Quentin. I've edited my post and sent the user who changed the hxxp to http a PM asking to delete the link. Think I'll just give up on that one! Like folk have said, it's a fairly standard PCN and process similar to others on here so probably not much need to post pictures. Thanks again.

    Hi Ralph,

No, as it used to be a Co-op but closed in January this year. It's now just a boarded up 'to let' empty building with the car park being utilised by smart parking, obviously don't know who owns the land though...

    Hey guys,

He drove in, parked in a bay and went to the machine. He read what he interpreted to be: Enter the numbers from your registration and money for time wanted. He inputted '04' into the machine, put £1 and received a ticket which he displayed on his dashboard. £1 was for up to 2 hours. He left, came back after shopping and exited the car park well within the 2 hours.

Can't see any photos that u have uploaded, so i'm assuming that u have deleted them due to concerns of other members ?

Did u take any photos of the instructions on the ticket machine and if so, does it ask for 'numbers' of the registration or does it ask for the 'full registration number'. If the former, then your neighbour literally followed their 'contractually binding' instructions to the letter - or number as in this case :rotfl:

the Coop still may own the land , but if not then a land registry should throw up the owner ......

that is the only quick route to an early cancellation ...

    good luck

Have you searched 'Smart POPLA' yet? Loads of POPLA appeals v Smart just waiting for you to find them - and they are dead easy to find. NEVER put the word 'parking' into a search here (obviously!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
