Student deals

What sort of deals on mobile phone contracts can I receive being a student? I'm looking for a decent amount of texts (say 400-500) and 150 minutes or so.

The Dolphin package from Orange for £25 a month seems a good offer at the moment especially with free weekend and evening texts but is there potentially any better contracts out there?

Comments

  • www.dotmobile.co.uk/ is the only student only provider I know of. I believe it runs off the tmobile network.

Some providers do special student offers on top of their normal tariffs. I remember Orange used to offer students 1000 free texts on any £30+ contract.

From what I have seen though, going after the better public deals with expensive handsets (often posted on MSE) are better value than full priced student deals at the same price! Just keep an eye out for a good deal!
They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!
