Thinking of getting the G tech .Has anyone got any comments or recommendations?

I have the GTECH K9 and love it so easy to use I also have the handheld one which I use on the stairs . Surprised first couple times I used it how many dog hairs it picked up.

I have also found the customer services at GTECH very friendly and helpful .

My mum and DS got the normal GTECH they have no pets and they say they love them.

Don't forget to go through topcashback if you order one :money:

I bought the Gtech AirRam the other week and it's fabulous! I'd highly recommend it. It's so easy to use, I used to hate vacuuming but now do it most days.

The wee box needs emptying frequently but it's so easy to do. Someone somewhere else on this forum said she takes a plastic bag upstairs with her when doing the bedrooms. Don't let the emptying put you off as it's a definite plus point.

The wee handheld is brilliant for the stairs and skirting boards.

Again, the customer service agents are great, so responsive and helpful.
  • Thank you both.Have ordered the k9 and handheld. Also through topcashback.Arriving tommorrow.Excited if that sounds sad!

Customer service is good (though I refused to use the premium number used at the time mine needed repair) and collect/return took just a three or four days. My cleaner was returned with the casing scratched, where it had been on the workbench, but a complaint brought a replacement of both cover and dust container, by special delivery.

No need to use a premium rate number.

They, like all UK companies, must have a non-premium number for support purposes, and theirs is prominently shown on their support page:

You have to post an update and let us know how you get on.
    Nothing sad about being excited.

My mum had her GTECH before me and I loved hers but when I ordered mine I was excited and was willing it to arrive early in the day so I could charge it and use it . It arrived before dinner/lunch depending if you northerner or southerner. Like Gers said I also use mine every other day downstairs.

I also love my GTech, but would say you also need the hand held one (or something like) for stairs and getting right into the corners.
    Normal people worry me.

Why's everyone raving about their customer service? It's a vacuum cleaner it should work faultlessly for 10 years plus. If you need customer service they've faild already.

Customer service isn't only for faulty items.
    You can call them for:
Advice on buying spares for current and discontinued models and help with fitting those spares,
Advice on warranty registration or warranty status,
Advice on model specifications and which particular model would be best for certain applications,
And probably other things as well.
  • 10 years? You will need new batteries after a couple of years I would think and they will be expensive.
