I've put a tray of used cat litter outside the back door. Luckily there was some in the rubbish. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Get some of your worn clothes out of the laundry basket and hang them on the line outside. Any breeze will waft you and your family's scent around and she might be able to follow the scent home.
I know a few people it worked for.
I hope she's back soon. I know how awful it is when they go missing. My Bert was a terror for wondering off and not coming home for ages. I'd go nuts worrying.
Queens don't normally roam too far from home though, do they?
Thats a good idea. will try that. Its breezy todayThe forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
I'm getting really paranoid now. After I distributed the leaflets, my neighbour, who we have kind of semi fallen out with, phoned me and said that his cat, A Russian Blue had been missing for a week and two other cats in the street have recently gone missing. He said he thinks they have either been taken or poisoned by someone who doesn't like cats. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

I really do feel for you, tesuhoha. Has it been reported to the police that cats are going missing? You must be so worried. Mine went missing once for four days, and it was the only time in the 16 years i've had her that she did, but I remember so well how it felt and she was used to going out.
Do you have a Spotted FB page for your area? People on mine are constantly asking whose cat is this????? to any cat at all they see outside, which can be a fgs cats roam thing, but sometimes is a genuine missing cat
I wouldn't say she's a Bengal, those who know cats will know, but those who don't don't need alerting to the fact a cat worth tons is missing.
I really am hoping she returns soon, please do update us x0 -
Take the contents of your vacuum cleaner bag and scatter it around your garden - it will carry the scent of your home and hopefully she'll sniff it out. I really really hope she turns up.0

I think it might be worth ringing the police in light of what your neighbour has said.
But do try to keep positive and don't blame yourself.
Please.
When me & OH moved into our present house (almost 25 years ago) we had a very handsome young boy - tabby Siamese markings, blue eyes but moggy build.
The first time we let him out, he didn't come home.
We shouted & shouted.
We learned later from a neighbour that somebody a few houses away had decided that they wanted him & had kept him in.
He must have heard us & created such a fuss to get out.
Again - fingers crossed.

Good news.
My husband was searching the garden and I was inside when I got a call from two doors down. They said we have found your cat. She is under our barbecue! I ran round there with the cat carrier but when she heard my voice she bolted again and ended up under the bushes in the front garden, hiding at the back. I couldn't see her but they said she was looking at me when I was calling her.
My husband stayed there and the people were standing so she couldn't get out and I went home to get some food. As soon as I put the tuna down she moved forward and ate it and then moved even further forward for some biscuits. My husband was able to stroke her and then grab her and get her into the carrier. I cried when we caught her.
She was starving hungry and has eaten several bowls of food. She is none the worse for wear but seems a bit nervy. I am so very relieved. Couldn't sleep last night, have not eaten today and only had one cup of tea to drink. I've got palpitations - think its stress. Will buy the people a gift. All windows shut now. She is having a wash right now. My other cat growled at her and has given her a good sniff. Maybe she smells odd.
Anyway, happy ending. Thank goodness I posted those leaflets! The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
