    Our airport transfer bus never came to pick us up at our hotel...Am I due compensation? ...Any help would be appreciated

    Fascinating though these side conversations are, and in the unlikely event of the OP still tuning in, I'd say that with a decent holiday Company, and in my experience, there's a good chance of compensation to the tune of a few hundred pounds; either as a settlement or maybe vouchers for future use;
    Cases in point- I once got about 10% of the holiday cost back for one of the kids who had bought a lads (aka lager and loutishness...) holiday advertised as such, but been accommodated in a complex full of families with kids. Predicatbly, their loud and late behaviour caused other holidaymakers to complain - to the point where the police were called. I argued that by doing what it said on the tin they'd been mis-sold, and the Company fell for it.

    This year, we got about £300 back on our credit card (without even asking) from Brittany Ferries which, together with a couple of hundred quid from our insurance company, plus two £50 BF vouchers for next year, following a cancelled and delayed ferry notified the day before our jaunt to Spain. We ended up driving to Spain through France (which was fun) and delaying our direct return by three nights. The compo more than satisfied us, especially as the original cost of the car-crossing plus a fortnight in classy hotels was well under a grand for two.

    So be persistent; don't just 'email the agent' or whatever you say above. Assuming you have already followed their complaints procedure at

    Follow this up with a lucid letter or email to the UK MD

    Good luck. At least it happened at the end of the hol

    The OP called for a taxi but then I would assume they had to wait for that as well. Plus if others took the first taxi they had to wait until the second arrived. So I don't think it's fair to blame the OP fir not getting a taxi in time when you have no idea of how long they had to wait for it after calling for one.
    Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!
