Adding permitted occupier?

After some advice my tenant wants to move someone into the house.
No issues with this from my side, and google seems to advise to go down the permitted occupier route.
How do I actually do this? Can I just type up a short contract in addition to the AST or does it have to go back to the agent who did the AST for me to get added? (thus I expect pay some fees?)

Neither. If they want someone to move in, just let them. Don't risk creating another AST.
It's their lodger and their responsibility.

Legal issues with what?
Your tenant can have partners, guests, lodgers, children...whatever. It is their home.
If you don't agree to your tenants new partner, guest or lodger the only real option to you is to issue a Section 21 notice and regain possession of the property and re-let the property to another single person.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Doesn't make any difference (perhaps they lead an interesting lifestyle!) - you are not required to do anything, and it's probably safer for you to not do anything0 -
