Virgin Media Brodband/Phone

I have been with NTL (now Virgin Media) for many years. Last year I threatened to leave and was offered "free TV" (like freeview) half price phone and half price 4 MB broadband for 12 months.
I phoned today to check when the 12 months was due to end, and without asking, the member of staff said that he had cancelled my last agreement and put me on a new one that was ongoing. When I asked wat this meant he said that there was no end date for the new agreement.
I shall be watching my bills very closely but if this workout it seems quite a good deal to me.
