Unfortunately you appear to have completely missed the point in order to use it as an excuse to be rude. This behavior is not very adult and goes someway to proving my point.

'' ran away from the massive fall out.'' AKA 'not being adult enough to deal with the consequences and legging it'.

In light of the above, please explain why you feel you are an authority on lecturing folk about being proud?!

It appears to me that puberty seems to be lasting about 30 years these days

Think of all those poor young men who came back from the fronts with PTSD who were never able to fully recover and have a happy normal life because talking about feelings just wasn't done and they were expected to pull up their socks and get on with it.

Isn't it great that men are allowed to admit to feeling low these days? That support is available? That suicide rates among young men might finally start to go down as the problem is recognised and addressed?

    Yes it is great

Unfortunately there is still an awful lot of stigma surrounding mental health issues and is not taken seriously enough at times for genuine sufferers.

I do feel the terms 'depressed' are bandied around by folk who are not indeed depressed (rather a bit down, as opposed to clinically depressed) which waters it down for real sufferers who can be in great difficulty for years, or for all their lives. However someone going through a rough patch will say they are suffering in the same way

Is the op suffering from a mental health issue? sorry I must have missed that

OP - to me it sounds like you need to redefine what you expect, if you change jobs it'll mean lifestyle changes and getting used to living with cheaper cars and food, etc. If your property is inappropriate then get one that's a better fit, or move back in with parents. Property is an investment too, but you could put the proceeds into a fund if necessary

And don't stop looking for jobs if the current one makes you feel like that

And you do have to make lifestyle sacrifices to better your situation, I was suffering asthma in a mouldy overcrowded 1 bed flat but it meant I was eventually able to upsize

can't offer any advice, just wanted you to now you're not alone in feeling this way. I'm 29 and life is about as far away as i imagined it as it could be.

however you do have time on your side. i'm almost 6 six years older than you. but you, you have a chance to change things so do what you want and live life to the full. Youve had some god advice, don't be in the same place 6 years later.

Being clever with what you do earn is far more efficient than earning more and paying tax and travel. Stocks and shares isas can help you keep up with rising house prices for anyone who needs to upsize
