Euro travellers cheques

We have discovered we have some Euro traveller cheques which we must have bought about 6/7 years ago. If we take them to an exchange bureau will they exchange them for euros?? No doubt there'll be a charge but just wondering if it's at all possible.
Many thanks in advance of any responses.

Very unlikely. You should try the place where you bought them.Evolution, not revolution0

Try the company that issued them. If they're Thomas Cook the best bet is Thomas Cook, likewise if they're Amex.
Doubt a bureau de change that has nothing to do with the issuer will change them.0 -

Thomas Cook stopped dealing with travellers cheques quite a while ago so I can't see them cashing them. The ones they used to sell were Amex.0 -
If the brand is Amex - contact Amex.
If the brand is Thomas Cook don't contact a Thomas Cook travel agent as the companies were separated as long ago as 2000. These are part of Travelex, see https://www.travelex.co.uk/services/travellers-cheques/visa-mastercard, as is VISA.0 -
Looks like thomasexchange.co.uk seem to have some good buy back rates. Just called them and they are offering me the best rates yet on some old Dollar Travellers Cheques. They have four branches in London only.I'm working on it !0

If you plan to visit a country using the euro then wait until you get there to cash them in.
Just be aware that many banks don't like them and some won't even cash them so don't expect an easy time getting rid of them.
On top of that you can expect to be charged commission by the bank as well as it costs them money to process them and send them off before getting their money back.0 -

This might not be very good advice.
I know Eire and Spain don't like TC's so you may have to do a lot of running about to find somewhere that will take them.0
