Euro's - Which is better value

Hi

We are off to Lanzarote in 2 weeks not been abroad for quite a few years due to expanding family.

Is it now better value to just use your card aborad and either pay with card or withdraw at cash points or is it still better value to purchase euro's before you travel?

It has never been better value to exchange euros before you travel.

Best exchange rates will always be found in the country you travel to.

My advice would be to take some £s to exchange when over there and do the rest on a few free credit card to get best rate.

Thank you for that! I shall pass that on to my parents as well as they normally always buy before they go plus they have phobia of using their card abroad.

Have a read of this and then investigate Revolut, Metro Bank or Halifax Clarity.

Actually, #2 gives reasonably good advice as a rule of thumb.
