Sat 2nd/Sun 3rd July - What Small Debt Free Wannabe things will you do today?
Comments
-
Hi all
Thanks Lego Mum for starting, I hope with some rest your ankle will be as good as new soon.
Just a few things today:
- Did a market research work £8.50 and another tomorrow which will mean a free lunch out.
- Checked postcode lottery
- Bought Dettol products to get 6 free cineworld tickets. See Martin's newsletter for details. It would appear that you can claim more than 2, you can only log one receipt per day. Logged one today and will do another tomorrow. Will come in handy for the school holidays and I will use the cleaning products too.
- Hoping to be debt free by Christmas and have worked out that I have paid off 40% this year so far.
- Put £3 in my Christmas savings pot.
- Bought school clothes from M&S (20% off) through a cashback site. Probably not the cheapest uniforms on the market but they are good quality and last.
- Relisted a few things on Ebay and Facebook.
- Sold a necklace on Facebook, hope buyer collects tomorrow - more money for my Christmas pot :-)
- Won £2 on a charity scratch card
- Visited Poundland to stock up on some bargains
- Entered 3 competitions, might just do a few more before bed.....
Think that's all I have to report for today.Competition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
Morning frugal ones :hello:
Lovely day yesterday with old pals. Was real fun and a real laugh.
Today is very much a doing day so here goes:
Got dressed in to gym gear so have no excuse when DH gets back from swim
Overnight oats for breakfast
Washing out another load in
Meals from stores
Vacuum through
Shopping list done, go shopping later just for list
Get ready for week ahead including packed lunch for tomorrow
Go on Local art trail that's on just for the weekend in people's houses. It's free
Think that's all for now, will check back later. PF.0 -
Hi guys
The art trail sounds great PurpleFairy - I'd love the nosey round people's houses as well as the art!
Another relatively boring day at home planned for me.
We ended up going out last night - the rain stayed off so we could walk there and back and actually really enjoyed getting out of the house.
Today it's more sorting out/clearing out/tidying/cleaning. Might go to the tip to get rid of rubbish too.
Also need to get some shopping in - @ldi is calling - will meal plan beforehand.
So nice not working job #2 this evening!
Big happy Sunday hugs to y'all :grouphug:0 -
Morning all, I can't sleep again, in pain this time and paracetamol & ibuprofen gel weren't helping so I've got up and am trying icepack & elevation. (Ankle very painful today, same one that I sprained but I fell down the last two steps on the stairs yesterday rushing around for towels when my dad has burst the water pipe)
You might want to compress it too, lightly with a tubigrip.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

* If you spot a jellyfish, basking shark or marine turtle in UK or Irish waters you can report it to the Marine Conservation Society. There's a wee identification guide on their website so you can easily see what you're looking at. We've been doing this for years, especially when swarms of jellyfish float up to our beach. Great for wee Money-Savers too. (Link)Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Morning Gang
Small things so far
1. Walked to the fabric bank at the local retail park. Took 3 pairs of trousers in various states of being used for patching. As I checked the pockets before posting them in the bin I found a £1 coin.
2. Found a triple nectar points coupon
3. Have taken DD into McD and spent the £1 on coffee. She has had a great time walking about holding onto the low stools and I have had a coffee. Plan is she will nap in the buggy now whilst I shop for the odds and ends on my list.
4. OH is cutting the lawn whilst we are out with a lawn mower borrowed from our friends as our died.
5. I am going to make a summer fruits cake with all the bits of peach and plum I end up freezing because they go soft too soon.
6. Just need a french stick then thats lunch sorted & tea tonight will be chicken quesidillas to use up the chicken I roasted yesterday.
7. Found 2p on my walk here
8. Have a list with the items I need on it and I wont buy anything else
9. Earned a free bean on my coffee
10. We will be able to enjoy the garden later with the freshly cut grass. Maybe coffee and a slice of my cake too

Hi July Joculants,
Much distress at Dowd Towers today. Endured ten minutes of unjustified verbal abuse earlier on. Now I'm in pieces.
I cried for an hour bursting a couple of blood-vessels in my eye in the process. Can't go into it on a public forum but we fear this isn't going to be the end of it. Anyway life must go on.
Anyway, trying to keep the MSE faith.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Had a quick trip out to take a photo or two, but struggled to relax and enjoy it. Will enjoy editing the photos though.
* Checked online balances.
* Tidied the garden up a bit. Made a few changes. Veggies are coming along well.
* Find out if King Lear with Don Warrington is on iPlayer yet. DW wants to see it.
* Checked online banking.
* Read news online.
How about you folks?

Hello Frugalistas,
Pleasant day. Went to a lovely community event. Bought a few bits to support it so not an NSD. A few other small things:
*Moved rugs around. Bought new lounge rug yesterday in IKEA. V large & only £30 in the sale. Old lounge rug now in conservatory, conservatory rug gone in kitchen, kitchen rug gone in hall, hall rug gone down to veggie garden for use in surpressing weeds. Now't wasted!
*Bookshelves tidied. 2 items found for ebay.
*Picked a bowl of strawberries.
*Bag of gifted broad beans prepped for dinner.
*Free physio on poorly arm cutting buddleja back where it was taking over 3/4 of the pavement..Arm.no better but.no worse. Am going to step up the ice treatments over this next week.
*Cast on sock no. 2 of the pair I'm currently.knitting.
*Recycled big sheet of heavy polythene new rug was packed in to use as mini polytunnel covering.
*Set washer for cheap overnight laundry on Economy 7 tariff.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Entered a competition.
Relaxing evening planned. Not sleeping brilliantly as am fretting about something so am working on calming down.
