    Regulation began Jan 2005, this is now eleven and a half years ago....
    Barclays was a member of the old Banking Ombudsman Scheme so in theory you could go back to 1986 when that started.

    Being able to prove any wrongdoing is a totally different matter, though.

    Exactly. The point is that whatever the OP was told about it "being over 10 years ago" didn't relate to regulation.

    I fear this thread will be one of those to which the OP will not return...
