dolly84, that sounds awful! Can you return it and get your money back? Boots are normally pretty good with that.

So, some INs for me, I've been a bit naughty - I bought a few things from Boots a couple of weeks ago, when they had the "Beauty Must Haves" free box offer, and just picked it all up today. I paid for:

    - 2 x Soap and Glory Drama Clean Micellar water
    - 3 Soap & Glory small gift sets (Birthday Washes, Happy Pamper, Irrisistibubble)
    - 2 Orla Kiely travel kit sets
    (total cost of £29.75)

Though only the micellar water are actually for me - the rest are going in my almost empty gift drawer. So then I got the following for free:

    - 1 Orla Kiely washbag (will also go in gift stash)
Boots Beauty Must Haves box including:
    - Champneys Citrus Blush Enlivening Body Lotion 350ml
    - Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub 75ml
    - No7 Airbrush Away Primer 30ml
    - Soltan Once Face Moisturising Suncare Cream 50ml
    - Soap & Glory Arch de Triumph brow shaper and highlighter
    - Mark Hill XL Volume Amplifying Serum 50ml

All the freebies in the box will have to be IN's for now :o though none are technically needed! It was a good offer though...

I then also got the following separately over the last couple of days:
    - Toothpaste (on offer, and I'd run out)
    - Boots Essentials nail polish remover (HG remover - and I'm almost out of the other mini bottle currently in use)
    - Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express mascara (half price)

I've been getting semi-permanent lash extensions a lot over the last year or so, but I don't like the time or expense of them, so I've been researching mascaras - I think I just need to get better at applying them (i.e. actually pay attention and not rush it), and I found an interesting article on layering them. So I'm going to play around a bit with the ones I have, plus my new one.

Nails repainted too - Nails Inc gel effect polish in Mercer Street. Nice colour, no idea what the Gel effect is though - it just looks like normal polish!

Another UU today - Garnier Miracle Skin Cream sample. I'd buy now this as it really adds moisture to my skin and helps improve the texture - no dry patches now :) Glad I have another sample.
  • More movement! In both directions, though.
    UU
    10. Lush Prince Charming Shower Cream. WNBA. Wasn't keen on this at all. Will stick with the shower gels rather than creams.
    11. Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Wipes. WNBA. I love the pink packet ones but these made my face sting a bit.

    Some TA too:
    3. L'Oreal Voluminous Extra Black Mascara. WNBA. It gives a lovely look but it always flakes off.
    4. Vichy Lipbalm. WBA. Only TA because it fell on the floor at work, the lid came off and then it rolled around collecting dust.

I GA a Neutrogena TGel shampoo to my dad. My scalp has been bad recently. I don't think it's dandruff , more that it gets irritated. Remembered I had this in the stash and since using it my scalp is so horrendously itchy. I think I may be allergic to the coal tar in it; my mum can't use anything with coal tar either.

    Then there are INs:
    7. Lush Avobath Bath Bomb. Went in for the new catalogue, came out with a bath bomb.
    8. E45 shampoo, to try and sort out the T-Gel damage.
    9. Nip + Fab Dragon's Blood Cleansing Pads. I wanted to try a gentle exfoliating pad as whenever I use proper scrubs, they aggravate my skin. These were on offer in Superdrug. They're really moisturising too.
10&11. Wipes from Poundland. One St Ives. One Nivea. I'd forgotten how much I like the smell of Nivea Stuff.
12-15. 3 x candles from Primark. Jasmine & Bamboo, Cedarwood & Myrrh, and Moroccan Rose - which smells like Lush Rose Jam!

dolly84, that sounds like an awful foundation! As Fixx said, it might be worth trying your luck with a return. I went back yesterday with two No7 foundations that I had used but they colour matched me to a darker shade than I needed and the very lovely lady on the counter exchanged them. She said with things like that it's to their discretion so I suppose it depends how lucky you are with who you get. :)

The only top coat that I have been able to use to the bottom is Essie To Dry For which is discontinued. To ALL too coats I have had to add nail polish thinner however the Essie one had the right combination of thinned top coat and long brush to enable me to get every drop out.

Sounds like I'm going to have to put up with Top coats that don't last. Shame the good one got discountinued.

Got a few UU and some ins to report:

UU first as had a lovely bath tonight:

Lush twilight bath bomb- WBA I've fallen in love with this scent, it's literally like a comforting warm hug, it's wonderful and so relaxing. I want to lie in a twilight bath forever. The water was purple & sparkly and so pretty! I chucked a bit of the shower gel in to make a ton of soft fluffy bubbles and it was heaven! Definitely buying these again (think I have more in stash, at least 2).

Beauty formulas tea tree deep cleansing nose pore strip - WMBA will report back on this as I am wearing it currently! I've actually put it on my chin instead as I have broken out really bad just recently there with a ton of blackheads.

Montagne jeunesse frizz miracle hair serum & masque sachet - WBA although wish there was more product as I have very thick long hair - it did do the job though and had a pleasant smell. I think I have another in stash.

I used a bit of twilight shower gel to wash my hair as I'd left my shampoo in the shower by accident - did the job though and I keep getting whiffs of twilight scent every so often :grinheart:

Please make way on the naughty step again, I'm back :o I am SO excited to finally have plum rain though and it's gorgeous!! Someone kindly got it for me from Oxford street. If you haven't tried it yet guys, then do, it's lovely! :)

    Ins:

Lush hoppity poppity bath bomb x 2
Lush plum rain shower gel 250g
    Lush windmill bubble bar
Lush 5 gold rings bubble bar
    Lush magic of Xmas fun
    Lush sparkly pumpkin bubble bar
    Lush pearl massage bar
Lush ocean salt scrub (small size)
Lush pink peppermint foot lotion (small size)
    Lush which came first bomb
    Lush immaculate egg ception bomb
    Lush humpy bath bomb

    X 13 in :o

Eta: it's a WBA fir the pore strips guys!! Just peeled it off and eww, it's definitely done a good job. Not perfect as hasn't got everything, but it's a good start!!

    && another UU just now:

Primark gentle facial cleansing wipes- WBA did the job fine and cheap enough!

fixx/Deleted_User - I got in touch with S&G about the foundation and obviously they just couldn't believe it, they asked me questions about my skin and moisturiser but I never replied. I telephoned Boots CS and they said I could take it back and they would send it back to S&G for testing (yeah right) but it was the Managers discretion whether I got a refund. I couldn't face the hassle in store so binned it.

    I have a uu

Balance Me Radiance Facial Oil Roll On 15ml - WNB, this is OK but I prefer Sanctuary facial oils.

UU 9 Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDP 50ml - this was the first christmas present my bf got me. I did enjoy it, and would probably buy it again, but it's not completely my scent at the moment, and I don't like to store perfumes just for the sake of it. I also think my mum helped me out on this one as she goes into my room to have a cheeky squirt every now and then as she loves the scent. Will continue working on my other perfumes now.
  • Hey everyone :hello:

Just had a wee read through in work but I would love to join in here, I have a lot of stuff I can look to use up before I buy anything else!!

I will start making a list tonight & tomorrow of all the items I have then can start UU ;) (think I got that right??)

I have a lot to learn with all the abbreviations etc so you can all keep me right while I get to grips with it.

Haven't had time to read all your posts will try but there are a lot :rotfl:

I've complained to S&G previously about a hand cream and got a very arrogant reply from them. Found it rude and condescending, I thought the customer was always right  ... or at least they could have asked for some details

I went out earlier to do a bit of shopping - got a little set of plastic drawers (£1 in poundworld :)) to go in my bathroom cabinet to hold some makeup and help me organise it a bit better. So I've emptied a few shelves of the cabinet, and reorganised lots of stuff so I can see it all better - will hopefully help me actually use some of my eyeshadows in future! It looks loads better anyway, yay!

I do also have a couple of INs though too -
    - 2 x Tigi Dumb Blonde Reconstructor 750ml. But this is my HG conditioner (current bottle is almost empty), and not easy or cheap to get hold of the larger sizes (200ml RRP is £14!). But I found B&M selling the large size for £9.99, which is awesome! I normally pay around £15 online, then have to wait for delivery.

Fortunately also a couple of OUTs:
Out - mini sample of Roger & Gallet Gingembre Rouge fragrant water. Loved this! Will definitely buy - might finally be a replacement for my discontinued summer perfume (Les Belles de Ricci Liberty Fizz :( ), yay!

Out/TA - Clinique Chubby Stick for lips, in a pinky colour. This is seriously old - all the writing has worn off, so no idea what the colour is! The actual product has gone very soft too, so it's almost impossible to use, but there's also only a tiny amount left. I've another chubby stick in a different colour still going strong, and lots of other lips colours, so I'm well stocked for now anyway.
