Which company best at dealing with cashback?
I am looking for a new phone deal and think some of the cash back deals are very good - especially for the Nokia 6230i.
I had a cash back deal from carphone warehouse last year and experienced no problems in getting my cash back on time.
I have seen good offers with Dialaphone, mobileshop, onestopphoneshop and e2save. I think the last two are owned by carphone warehouse?
Anyway, I've read so many horror stories about getting cash back that I thought I would check with this board as to which is the best at honouring these cash back agreements.
Dialaphone say that they will credit the cash back to my airtime account - does that mean I won't get the money back and will instead have to spend that on making calls? it's for an 02 contract. I think the others send you a cheque?
Any advice would be appreciated.

In my opinion CPW are best and the others you mention are all good but with the odd bad experience! Dialaphone have always been superb for me!
Dialaphone - some cashback deals are to airtime yes but this comes off line rental not just calls - just beware of cashback at month 12 as if it's a 12 month contract you will have to keep the contract longer than 12 months so add that into your costings!0 -
Remeber to go through a cashback firm initially to place your order such as http://www.quidco.com the maximise further the gains you'll make!0

My vote - CPWAll I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.0

CPW seem to be the least competitive at the moment - so your views on the others would help.Regards

I would avoid onestopphoneshop (are they actually owned by CPW?) as have read a lot of horror stories on this forum. The cheapest deal for the 6230i (that I noticed) is from mobileshop. I have, in fact, ordered the 6230i from them (received it last week) for £150 for the whole year (inc cashback) and 100mins & 100texts (double promotion of 200mins/texts for first 3 months then reverts back to 100mins/texts) on o2.
I used !!!!!!.com which checks several mobile retailers for best offers.
I have already asked CPW and they aren't really doing any better (cheaper) deals than £150 for the year as they said the phone is brand new so they don't do any good deals yet.
I can't comment on cashback problems with mobileshop though as haven't had phone long enough but have searched several forums and couldn't find anyone who has had cashback problems with mobileshop but no one knows until nearer the time!?0 -
I would have a look at RM's excellent website, he lists out a whole range of mobile phone deals: http://www.users.totalise.co.uk/~lauriem/index.html
Mobileshop.com have a raft of pretty good offers at the moment, and I reckon they are a great, top rated company"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0
