Electoral register at linked address

My address is .... Cottage on the electoral register but down as 7 (Streetname) with all of my banks and other finances.
This has caused the credit rating agencies to either have me not registered on the electoral register, or registered on the electoral register at a "linked address".
I rang Experian and they have sorted it out. However after contacting Equifax and explaining the situation, I was told that they are unable to move or merge the addresses to include me under the electoral register under my main address, which seems bizarre and extremely unhelpful, as I've done nothing wrong to have my credit score affected.
Does anyone know what I can do about this?
Thanks

Use 7 <street name> in future and amend all your current addresses to that?
It's a fairly annoying system for everyone involved, you may as well put a stop to it since it's going to cause problems everyone involved.0 -
Having the same issue to you but with my flat number. Voters roll is flat 1-1 but everybody else has flat 5.0
