The same solicitor told me this morning that even though the paperwork brought in by my husband and myself seemed fine (and this is what she told my son and daughter a few weeks ago) further checks are always made - I presume the electoral role? I do not know.
I am going into the office tomorrow so will ask someone.0 -
What about a bank card and recent bank statement?
What address has she put on the forms?
I would get her to ring them and ask too. XLoan 1 £5200/£8000
Loan 2 £300/£5800
Total £5500/£138000 -

Thank you Kitten.. nice name, we are massive cat lovers!.. she did take in bank card and statements .. and I do not know which address she put down.
Son reckons they do credit scoring checks which show addresses..she does not have a credit card.. I wonder if this is another no no? Anyway he will be talking to the solicitor asap to find out what they need! Possibly blood..;) XX0 -
You don't need to drive to get a provisional licence. Might not be the fastest solution to her current problem though.
Thank you for the thought.. sadly it seems a provisional licence is not acceptable for this particular work.. only a full licence. Seems crazy I know.
Copied this from the official website..
Documents we will not accept include, but are not limited to- Provisional driving licence
- Mobile phone bills
- Credit card statements

Does she receive child benefit/tax credits etc for her children?
Does she have any documentation from HMRC related to this or to her tax affairs?
Has she advised her bank etc of her new address?0 -

Thank you all for your replies.. I saw the solicitor today and she said there is no need to worry.. it is due to the new address and that my daughter seems to be registered at the old address as well (sadly the break up has left a lack of communication and not all paperwork is passed on..plus as I said at the beginning, daughter is somewhat ummm... well she is not always on top of her paperwork - unfortunate but there is a limit to how much a parent can intervene) and that the sale is proceeding and they will sort the problem out.
Apparently even though one is checked in person at the solicitors, they still send details to an out of office firm who do a sort of double check and this has thrown up her double address and for some reason caused a problem.
Again, many thanks all XX0
