The dent is significant. It looks as though it has been dropped and the engineer believes that has caused the damage to the fan. He also said he would be concerned that the chassis was damaged.
Then you may struggle proving that in the month that you've owned the oven you hadn't dropped it yourself prior to or during installation.

This is the reason why most retailers have stipulations that you need to check for damage at or shortly after delivery because damage, as opposed to faults, is extremely difficult to show who is at fault. The longer you have the item the balance of probabilities shift towards the customer having responsibility for such damage.

It depends on the seller according to their TOS, usually we get 60-day money-back guaranty.

If the seller refuses, you can knock consumer act door!

    Translated, it means -

"I do not have anything useful to say and only a limited command of English, but please take a look at my homepage in my contact details,"
  • You are right, but what I said is not wrong!

Yes, I have limited knowledge of such stuffs according to you but it doesn't matter a lot to me.

Also, if a new user is trying to interact with the discussion that is going on then the user shouldn't be kicked off, or hurt directly!

You are right that I have my website in my profile but it doesn't break the forum rules!

You haven't been kicked off the post or hurt directly.

You made a comment that doesn't make much sense and doesn't seem to add anything constructive to the thread.

If you explain what you meant it may well add something constructive. If you agree that what you posted may be incorrect due to limited knowledge posting on a consumer advice thread probably isn't the best idea, people come here to find out what legal position they are in and what rights they have not to just get illegible comments from someone who doesn't know or understand the law.

Where does the "60-day money-back guaranty" come from?

    Do Currys offer that?

LBA posted today. I have completed the dispute form and sent a copy to Nationwide as well.

Just a case of waiting now. I've also ordered a new oven from elsewhere.

I would have go to ombdusman if it was me as to me seems they are in wrong here. I dont like curry's myself but it is the only retailer that you can go and see things in shop. I had similar issue with a tv but argos replaced it straight away. I never asked a refund though.
