Low Usage and cheap 2G Phone Network

HI,

I am having a problem where my girlfriend wants an easy to use and long battery life 2G phone with a very cheap tariff.

This is complicated by the fact that all 2G do not work with the network 3 who seem to be by far and away the cheapest Network around.

I have been on the comparison sites and they all seem to be selling the monthly bundle sims which cost more than we want to pay and offer a greater amount of texts and minutes than will be used.

Any suggestions for a good 2G network will be appreciated.

Delight do threes rates, and will work on 2g phones

They also have lots of issues and have lately applied a 90 day expiry to any credits.

Tesco Mobile lite, Talk Mobile and ASDA mobile are all better PAYG 2G alternatives.

Does it have to be a 2g phone? Wouldn't something like a Nokia C2-01 suffice?
