Your wife's money could just as easily all be in vls 40, though the allocation would be very slightly different from your current arrangement.

Have you looked at their new (to the uk at least) targeted retirement funds, not a recommendation just a suggestion.

I'll look at them, to see what they offer

Also, the more cautious investor may want to consider the L&G funds rather than the VLS. The lower risk asset classes and sectors have a much better spread with L&G.

I'll have a look at them, thanks

Leave it as it is. Find your excitement elsewhere.

Sound advice. Listen to the man!
£2 coin savings = zero (I never get any £2 coins 'cos the rest of you are hogging them in your piggy banks!) :rotfl:

Are you a daytrader? In shares and currencies? If not what would be your rationale for attempting to time both? Consider it juggling with sharpened knives, it may look spectacular but at some point when you slip up its going to get very bloody.

Joe - I needed to hear that. You are right I think. I am definitely a buy and hold investor and have not sold a share since 2015. My reason for holding VWRL is to track the market. I'll sit tight.

Great that we can post ideas here & they can be challenged - much appreciated.

My VG LS hardly did anything last year and in the last week it has gone up by almost 10% due to currency exchange meaning a gain of around £1500. Means nothing as I am not changing strategy and am continuing to pay in £500 per month but just find it interesting. I knew as it was well diversified Brexit would not affect it considerably but seems I was wrong.
