Help needed to get an answer from Talk Talk

Options
Please can someone help me with Talk Talk. I left Talk Talk over two years ago. I found out recently that my email inbox is still active and receiving emails. I want it cancelled immediately. I have tried their 'chat people'. He wrote that he could not do it and I should phone the number he gave me. But when I did that, the automatic response which answered the phone wanted me to key in my Talk Talk phone number. Of course, I don't have a Talk Talk phone number. I have spent two hours on this already and am getting angrier by the minute. They are totally useless. Any help and advice would be most appreciated.

Why do you want your box closing .
It does not belong to you .
Unless you have your emails set to receive the TT email its should be no problem at all .

Its usual that defunct account boxes continue as open for an unknown period of time .

Good luck with getting any meaningful contact from TT.

No doubt the TT rep will be along soon to post their bog standard reply.

I have been trying to escape the grips of this terrible company for months and just get sent around in circles. They are terrible communicators to their customers, past and present.

So glad i didn't sign up with the but despite cancelling my order I still have to jump through hoops with them

One of my neighbours has moved from Talk Talk but he is still able to access messages sent to his old email address (both via POP3 and web). In fact he was able to able to set up mail forwarding (with delete original) to a new gmail email address.

Some would see the fact that the old email address is still valid and accessible as a plus point.
