I've read somewhere that grain-free dog foods are good if not on par with raw feeding (of course processed foods and raw has its own pros and cons). Its more convenient for the owner without sacrificing the dogs health.

personally I use Taste of the wild after reading various reviews on the net. I've been on it for some years now and never had a problem with my dogs appetite or health. If you want to read some reviews perhaps you can visit this link

Samples arrived this morning and I've just given him the Hunter one which he absolutely "wolfed" down, pardon the pun :rotfl:

Just a bit annoying that they emailed a discount code after I'd placed my order the other day which also expired June 30th before I'd received the samples. Do they often give out discount codes?

I would maybe drop them an email and say you appreciate the voucher, but it expired before you'd receive the samples to try. They may well send you another. Papa Johns did similar for me after sending a voucher as a goodwill gesture and it turned out the local branch was shut for refurbishment - they just told me to get in contact when it reopened and they would reissue one with a longer date

They sent me one for 5% off last week so I've just ordered a 12kg bag for £40. It'll last exactly a month so that's great value considering I usually spend double that on raw food.
