Capital One credit searches

Hi, I have just been going through my clearscore report and have found that Capital One have done 8 credit searches on me between 24th November 2015 and 20th June 2016.

I have never applied for anything from capital one or anyone else for that matter as we have been on a DMP for the last few years which we have now paid off.

Is there anything I can do to stop them credit searching me and more to the point, where have they got my details from?

Thanks

Presumably soft searches? They'll be for marketing, bought from the CRAs.

It might be annoying but it's not going to do you any harm.

If they're hard searches, then that is a different matter.
