Of course you could always get what you want directly from the horses mouth rather than some dubious 3rd party downloader:

I'd still uninstall iRST before attempting an upgrade, better still do a clean install.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -

Yes and of course I could also track and check every driver individually but this excellent piece of (dubious?) software does it for me. Try it on an old computer, I have used it on quite a few and it is good. I don't have any bloatware or dubious software If I can help it - I do know what you mean. Lots of it about but IMO Driver Booster is pretty good.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0 -

Nay, nay and thrice nay.

I'd also suggest making sure the BIOS is fully up to date before you go W10.
You may wish to read the release notes for iRST driver updates for the most recent and previous drivers and see just how buggy the damn thing is and why I stay away from it:

Again thanks! I now have Windows 10 on a working computer - well I'm not sure yet what works and what doesn't. I have a browser and 4 of my 5 email accounts are set up in Mail - the other one seems to be having difficulty syncing. I agree about iRST one of the biggest computer related mistakes I've made.0

Thanks for the above information.
Before finalising everything, I'm playing about with my new pc, (see thread), and see that iRST is included on the Gigabyte driver/utilities disk.
I've installed it on my Win7 test system, but after reading the previous posts I won't bother when I do a 'proper' install. :beer:Move along, nothing to see.0
