Dont understand new pay....

This seems a reasonable way to pay, you will get everything owed for the month. My old company closed payroll on 3rd Friday so pay was monthly salary + extras up to then. No end of staff queries over extras as it covered periods from 2 calendar months.0

What the OP describes is different from what I have always experienced. I have always been paid for the month during that month, so in my last job pay day was the 24th so for the month of March I got paid on 24th March. In my current job we get paid every 4 weeks and get the money on the Wednesday before the four week's end. It would be unusual in any job I've had to be paid after the end of the current month so I understand what he's saying but I guess that's just the way it is.0

There is nothing suspicious about your situation. Many companies do this keeping in mind the payroll processing formalities. Usually the gap is 4-5 days but upto 1 week are acceptable.0

My company pays from the 27th of one month to the 26th of the following month. We get our actual pay on the 3rd of every month.
So on the 3rd July I will be paid for work between the 27th May and 26th June.
On the 3rd August I will be paid from 27th June to 26th July etc etc.
Nothing suspicious in this, the hours are sent to payroll on the 27th of every month and payroll check them all etc them process them into our banks by the 3rd of every month.0
