    My normal use bike is now 21 years old, my other bike is now 42 years old, both are fine and dandy.

    Bigjl says no bikes make it to 12 years old.


    that one is 38 yrs old , at present going thru hastle with DVLA on reging for the UK

    To be honest if you can or afford to I would go for a 125cc moped.

    I commuted by motorbike for years. It took at least 15 minutes at home and probably 10 at work to get ready.

    3 minutes won't cover fetching my helmet & buff, pulling buff on, pulling helmet on, adjusting buff, threading glasses through helmet, and going to find a damp cloth to stir up the dirt on the visor. :D
    I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

    (except air quality and Medical Science ;))

    Norman, my user name is indeed derived from my 42YO bike, wish it was just Z1 though, without the "a".
    1974 on a "N" plate, not mint, but not bad, and not an import.
